Working Families Rally During Week of Action Against Fast Track

April 15, 2015

Working families and a coalition of environmental, consumer, faith, farm, business, and good governance organizations rallied outside Congress today in opposition to fast track trade authority.  The legislation, which is expected to be introduced in Congress this week, would make it easier to ram through complicated trade deals without significant oversight from members of Congress or the public.  The rally, which drew more than 1,000 participants in Washington, D.C., is part of a larger week of action led by AFL-CIO that will culminate in events across the country this weekend.
