What Does Community Health Systems Care About? Not Patients or Nurses, It Seems

Seeking to improve patient-care and work conditions at Community Health Systems (CHS) hospitals in four states, registered nurses held a national day of action at seven locations. According to a press release from National Nurses United (NNU), workers at the CHS-owned hospitals engaged in strikes, informational pickets and other events on Tuesday. The CHS hospitals repeatedly have been found to have violated the rights of their employees in ways that have endangered patients.
