This is How We Rebuild the Middle Class

When leaders in the Chicago Federation of Labor learned that Austin High School was closing, they jumped at the opportunity to take a proactive approach to building a viable middle class and training the next generation of skilled workers. They brought together labor, more than 60 businesses, and government and community leaders to open Austin Polytechnical Academy, which prepares students for rewarding careers in engineering.
