Stand Up Against Workplace Violence for National Nurses Week

Being a nurse is challenging enough without facing violence in the workplace, but that's exactly what many nurses in California hospitals have been facing for many years. There currently are no violence prevention programs in place to protect the state's health care professionals from on-the-job assaults. Not only is staff safety a concern, but it becomes a public safety issue when patients can't be confident in their own safety, either.
