Pierce County Peanut Butter Drive Launched

March 16, 2014

It’s on.

Patty Rose, secretary-treasurer of the Pierce County Central Labor Council, has announced the 2014 drive for union-made JIF peanut butter has been launched, with the goal of beating last year’s record haul of 5,021 jars—more than 8,100 pounds—of peanut butter. Held in conjunction with the Letter Carriers’ (NALC's) National Food Drive (which is Saturday, May 10), the PCCLC collects peanut butter each year for the Emergency Food Network to distribute to local food banks.
