Andrew Shaw has made a long climb from a 19th round National Hockey League (NHL) draft choice to a member of the Stanley Cup-winning Chicago Blackhawks. He says his dedication to the grueling hard work that helped him move from the junior league level Ontario Hockey League to the NHL can be found in a faded wristband he dons before every game.

The white lettering stamped on it is worn, but Shaw wears it every day and it's symbolic of his hockey career. It says: "Ironworkers Local 721."
