AFL-CIO Backs Move for Shorter Non-Violent Drug Offender Sentences

Attorney General Eric Holder today endorsed a plan that would reduce sentences for non-violent drug offenses and address the issue of mass incarceration.  AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka called Holder’s endorsement of a proposal by the U.S. Sentencing Commission, “a thoughtful and progressive decision.”
