Non-Union Electrical Contractor Hit with $875K Penalty

M.C. Dean Inc., a major non-union electrical contractor, has entered into an agreement with the US Department of Labor to pay 381 job applicants $875,000 in back wages and interest.  Those applicants were subject to a hiring procedure that did not provide them with "equal employment opportunity" for apprenticeship and electrician positions, according to the Department of Labor.
